Musing about the Enneagram?

I often say, "Well, we're finally getting the recognition we deserve!", and then of course, I immediately decide we deserve a whole new level of recognition. But still, well, we're finally getting the recognition we deserve!
This time around, it's in the form of being referenced on the blog Murderous Musings. And, no, the blog is not about, like, how to kill people real good and stuff. It's about writing mystery novels, and about writing generally, and about researching stuff, and about Geronimo, and about crinkly little snakes, and about other matters of interest to mystery writers.
So why, you might wonder, are they talking about us? It's because they're talking about creating realistic characters, and about how knowledge of the Enneagram might help one do that. Read the relevant post here. Also, it's because one of the bloggers, Beth, is our friend, and she's cool like that.

That's right; having totally proven my inability to update this one on a regular basis, I decided to start another.

Basically, it's a place to stick some photographs. Here at the Enneagram Agency blog, my photos tend to be journalistic in nature, as in this post where I needed a picture of a hand flicking a spinner, so I took a picture of my hand (duh) flicking a spinner, or in this post that mentioned a pumpkin and was illustrated with (duh) a picture I took of a pumpkin.

Over at the All and None Designs blog, I can be a bit more, ahem, artistic. Nonetheless, if you liked that picture of those cookies (above), or this picture of that action figure, perhaps you'll enjoy this.

Hello Again

Hello again.
You may have noticed that Mary Beth and I don't blog much lately. The main reason is our jobs. You see, we work at the same place, and it's the kind of place where half the year is like "Hmmm... whatever will we do with all this extra time?" and the other half is like "Clear a path; I don't have time to step around you, much less talk." It's been a little close to the latter lately, although frankly, not as terrible as all that. Laziness and distactibility were also to blame.
Nonetheless, there is a Philip Larkin poem I like to reference at times like these. Indeed, the toad is squatting on our lives. (About Philip Larkin, by the way: Tom Condon apparently thinks he is a 4, but I believe Mr. "Nothing, like something, happens anywhere" is a 5.)
... But... we haven't outright abandoned the blog. We'll get back into it, I'm sure, especially now that blogging has been scientifically proven to be good for you.

We are not Alone

At first, Mary Beth and I thought we were the only people on Blogger blogging about the Enneagram. We checked out www.enneagram.blogspot.com, but it's just a blank page.
Still, it turns out we're not alone. The aptly named "The Enneagram Blogspot" is, in its own words, "a compilation of several different Enneagram personality theory resources."
The material there does seem to be compiled from various Enneagram books and websites, so it doesn't have the, ahem, charm of two gals yakking about the Enneagram and whatever else catches their attention every single day, but still, there is a wealth of good info there.
I especially like the article "Enneagram and Terry Pratchett", which has pictures and gives the types of various characters from the Discworld novels.
